January: Lost In Music at The Hexagon

This January don’t miss this fantastic Lost in Music event that is taking place at The Hexagon on Friday 26th January at 7:30pm. This event takes you back in time to the magical time of disco with a sensational live band, talented cast and stunning vocals. Relive some of the greatest songs of all time from legends such as Donna Summer, Gloria Gaynor, Diana Ross, Sister Sledge, Chaka Khan and Chic.

February: Madison Heights Soul & Motown Band at The Jazz Cafe

The incredible 10-piece soul & Motown band that is Madison Heights will be back and performing on our stage this February. Madison Heights are inspired by the suited and booted Motown shows of the stage, so you can guarantee their performance will be glitzy and professional with all the vocal and instrumental talent you could wish for.

Madison Heights are performing on Saturday 3rd February, with the event starting at 7pm for those that wish to dine with us before the entertainment starts. DJ Kofi will be on hand to take the party into the early hours once the band has finished their set also.

March: Stranger Sings at The Hexagon

This award-winning sci-fi spoof of the popular Netflix show, Stranger Things, has come straight from off-Broadway, to a UK premiere 3-month sell out run in London, to a UK tour.

Join the gang for a night of indulgent pop culture references, heavy synth, poor parenting, dancing demogorgons, and maybe you’ll find Barb along the way! The show hits The Hexagon for one-night only on Friday 8th March at 7:30pm.

April: 70s & 80s Disco Night with Thames River Cruise

Is there a better way to spend a Saturday night than cruising down the River Thames to the soundtrack of the very best of the 70s & 80s disco scene?

Join Thames River Cruise on Saturday 20th April from 7pm for a night full of disco and fun. The cruise sets sail at 7:30pm through to 10:30pm with a fully licensed and stocked bar on board. May: The Elvis Tribute Artist World Tour at The Hexagon

If you loved our Elvis Tribute Night in December, you’re going to love this Elvis Tribute Artist World Tour!

Taking place on Wednesday 1st May at 7:30pm, straight from the USA, the world’s best and biggest Elvis tribute show returns to the UK. This show showcases the three winners of the Elvis Presley Entreprises’ Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest; Shawn Klush (USA), Dean Z (USA) and Ben Thompson (UK).

June: East Reading Festival 2024

This community-focussed festival takes place on Sunday 23rd June from midday. Onsite you’ll find a music stage, a spoken word/poetry stage, funfair and food stalls from around the world. There will also be a variety of commercial, community and charity stalls. There’s no need to book tickets, just turn up!

July: Madness with Lightning Seeds & Old Time Sailors at Englefield House

As part of the 2024 Heritage Live concert series, Madness will take to the stage and will headline on Friday 19th July with gates opening at 3pm.

Known for their raucous sets, expect a show full of the bands top hits along with songs from their new album “Theatre of the Absurd Presents C’est La Vie”. Madness will be joined by Lightning Seeds and Old Time Sailors.

August: Reading Festival 2024

Of course, August’s music event couldn’t be anything other than Reading Festival. Love it or hate it, it’s one of the festivals on people’s calendars.

This year, Reading Festival takes place from 21st August through to 25th August with confirmed artists such as Fred Again, Lana Del Rey, Blink-182, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Liam Gallagher and Gerry Cinnamon.

September: Sarah Millican at The Hexagon

We’ve taken a break from the music events for September to give you a jolly good laugh with Sarah Millican at The Hexagon.

In Late Bloomer, Sarah’s latest stand up show, she explores how she went from quiet, shy child to the loudest person in the room. This comedy show is one to see this year especially as it’s so local. October: Madison Heights Soul & Motown Band at The Jazz Cafe

That’s right, Madison Heights will be back with us later in the year for another show-stopping performance on Saturday 19th October from 7pm.

DJ Kofi will also be in attendance ready to hit the decks when the band finishes, to keep the party going through to the early hours of the morning with all your favourite dancefloor hits.

November: Squeeze at The Hexagon

To celebrate their 50th Anniversary, Squeeze and special guest, Badly Drawn Boy will be performing at The Hexagon on Thursday 7th November from 7pm.

Squeeze will be performing an impressive list of hits and rare gems from their extensive back catalogue. Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook, the composers of the bands songs, have remained at the heart of Squeeze since it’s debut. Difford and Tilbrook were the masterminds behind hits such as “Up the Junction” and “Cool for Cats” which led critics to label them the next Lennon and McCartney.

December: Christmas Parties at The Jazz Cafe

We are yet to announce when our 2024 Christmas parties will be taking place, but you can certainly expect them! Our 2023 parties were so popular that we added dates and we can’t wait to see how successful this year will be.

Typically, our Christmas Party Nights feature a three-course festive meal followed by entertainment from one of our regular live bands and then a DJ set until late. There is also the option to just turn up for the music which we call Drink & Dance tickets.
