Location, location, location… The Jazz Café has a superb, central Reading location. Green Park is only a stones throw away, plus there’s plenty of smaller companies in and around the local area too – ideal if you are looking at inviting clients to your event.

The Jazz Café is only a 5-minute drive from Junction 11 of the M4, and a 15-minute taxi ride from Reading train station making it easily accessible for those choosing to drive or use public transport. Onsite, there is plenty of complimentary parking spaces, as well as neighbouring 4* hotel voco Reading, should you have any guests that need to stay the night. voco Reading also offer guests of The Jazz Café a discounted room rate, so please discuss this directly with them.

2. Food & Drink

Food and drink is so important to us and we pride ourselves on our food philosophy. The majority of our dishes are homemade from scratch using traditional household methods and the freshest ingredients that we can possibly source.

We also take all kinds dietary requirements and allergies very seriously, and you can guarantee that when we say vegetarian, we mean vegetarian. We don’t use any animal fat or products that say they may contain traces of animal ingredients in any of our vegetarian dishes.

We also understand how important food is to your event, so we can offer multiple different menus for you to choose from, so you’re fully in control of your event whether that’s a three-course meal or a buffet. Drinks packages are also available to pre-order alongside use of our well-stocked bar.

3. Experience

We’ve been hosting events at The Jazz Café for many, many years and with that comes years of experience and knowledge. We know exactly what it takes to make an event a success and train and mentor our staff in exactly the same way.

On the day hiccups can easily be resolved due to our wealth of experience, so when the day of the event comes, you can fully relax and know that you’re in safe hands.

4. AV

An advantage of being a live music venue is that we already have the majority of AV equipment that you could possibly need!

We have a built in stage which is ideal for speeches and should anyone wish to make a presentation, we have a projector, screen, PA system and microphones, all of which can be used by yourselves throughout your event.

AV can be an expensive outlay, so the fact that we have everything already makes your venue deciding decision that bit easier!

5. Entertainment

Every good event has some form of entertainment to get the party started whether that’s a live band or a DJ or a mixture of the two.

We have a number of excellent bands on our books that regularly play with us so know the venue really well. Genres range from jazz and soul to disco and Motown to pop and hip and hop, so whatever you’re looking for, we’re bound to have a band that does it! Our resident DJ comes highly recommended, and again you would be welcome to book them or alternatively source your own.

The benefit of using our recommended suppliers is that we already have their PAT Testing and Public Liability Certificates on file, whereas if you source your own entertainment, you will need to provide a copy of these documents prior to your event.
