Remember back in the day when you couldn’t wait to host a house party? Well, as we all know, times change when you become older and wiser… We quite like the idea of not having to do a big clear up the following day, or worry that your sofa is going to end up covered in beer, so we’re sure that you would agree, if you’re thinking about hosting a party, it’s best to book a venue.
Space
Unless you live in a mansion, and we’re not judging you if you do, space can be limited, and unless you regularly host you could probably only guess as to how many people you can fit into your garden / front room / kitchen area. But, when you’re booking a venue, we know exactly how many people we can accommodate. We know how best to set up our space so that you get the most out of us! We also have dedicated areas for things like buffets, dancefloors and entertainment, which you probably don’t have at home. This means we’ve got power, tables and equipment already in place, so it’s nice and easy.

Cleaning
Who wants to get up the following morning with a hangover and clear up after a party? We’re fairly certain the answer is very few… When you hire a venue, the cleaning up is taken care of by the venue team. That means no washing up, or endless bin bags full of rubbish! It also means that you can relax and enjoy the following day rather than having to clean and tidy up. There may be some items that you have to take down from a venue, for example if you have brought in your own décor, then this will need to be removed by you, but everything else is pretty much covered by the venue.
Parking
Venues have parking! Often onsite and complimentary and we’d bet that your driveway probably doesn’t have enough parking for all your 50 guests…
Weather
If you’re planning on hosting at home in your garden, have you considered what happens if it rains? Often, you’ll be able to fit more people between both your garden and your house but obviously that’s dependent on if the sun is shining. If it isn’t that means all your guests will have to stay indoors. Can you accommodate that many people, or would you have to cut the guest list? If you’re hiring a venue, then we can tell you our maximum capacity and even if you choose a venue with a view to having your event outside, the venue will likely reserve a space inside that can accommodate everyone, just in case you need to move to Plan B.
Bar facilities
We know this won’t matter to everyone, especially as many of you now have your own home bar, but does anything beat a freshly pulled pint? And here at The Jazz Cafe, not only do we have a number on draught, but we also have an extensive list of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to suit everyone’s taste. Whilst it can be fun to make drinks yourself at home, sometimes it’s just as nice to leave the cocktail making to someone else!
If you’re in need of a venue for your next party, we’d love to be your host! With over a decade of hospitality experience and fantastic facilities, we can bring your vision to life. Send us an email to info@thejazzcafe.co.uk with your guest numbers, preferred date and catering requirements and we’ll put together a quote.
