The Jazz Cafe is available to book for a number of different events. From corporate get-togethers, to milestone birthday parties, to charity fundraisers and wedding receptions, The Jazz Cafe can be hired for any number of different reasons. For each type of event, we do have different packages available, for example a corporate event package differs to a private event package, however what if you just want to hire The Jazz Cafe on a very simple basis? Standard venue hire
Our standard venue hire package includes the following:
- Exclusive hire of The Jazz Cafe as per our pre-agreed timings
- Use of our bar with bartenders
- Dressed venue
- A member of staff on the door to greet your guests
- Onsite car parking
Exclusive hire of The Jazz Cafe means that it will only be your event taking place with us and you have the entire venue to yourselves. Prior to confirming your event with us, we will discuss your preferred timings with you so that we can both agree on timings that suit the other. For example, if we have an event taking place in the day and you wish to hire the venue in the evening, we will need to ensure that there is enough time after the daytime event to turn the venue round ready for you in the evening.

We’re very fortunate to have a large bar built into the venue which makes it super easy when you hire the venue. It means everything is already in place, plus we give you trained bartenders to work your event so you’ve got peace of mind your guests will be looked after well. We have a wide range of draught beers too. Please contact us for the full bar list if you would like more information.
A dressed venue is also included within your venue hire. This means that we will provide tables and chairs with linen, cutlery and crockery as you require it. For example, if you are having a three-course meal with us, then we will ensure the tables are all set up appropriately. If you wish to dress the space with your chosen décor then you would need to arrange for this yourself with an external supplier. We can recommend décor stylists that we have worked with before if you need any assistance.
We also allow you to bring in your own entertainment at no extra charge. This could include casino tables, photo booths and DJs. To comply with our health and safety standards, we do just require a copy of their Public Liability and PAT Testing before they come onsite, but this will be no surprise to your suppliers as this is a standard procedure across venues.

Also included in our venue hire is a member of staff on the door to greet your guests. We think this is just a nice little touch to make your guests feel welcomed on arrival and reassure them that they are in the right place. It also provides your guests with someone to ask any questions they may have.
Our guests tend to drive to us, so luckily we have plenty of onsite, complimentary car parking. If you are travelling by public transport, Reading train station is only a short 10 minute ride away.
