As 2022 draws to a close, we’re looking back on the year with fond memories of all the fun things that we got up to!
2022 started a little rocky with COVID restrictions still in place, but we were very soon out of the woods, and able to welcome events and match days back to The Jazz Café. It’s been so wonderful to host so many of your private events, support Reading FC with you all and then close the year with a whole host of live music party nights.
New Bands
This festive season it’s been great not only to have our regular bands back performing with us, but also to welcome new artists to the stage. These Certain People, Ultimate Party Band and Dance Cult 10 were all newcomers to The Jazz Café Christmas party scene and it’s fair to say they were all well received! We look forward to welcoming them back in 2023.
Match Days
As many of you know, we’re open for every home game that takes places at the Select Car Leasing Stadium whether the match is on a Saturday or mid-week. We often open before the match and welcome Reading FC supporters to eat and drink with us before, during and after the game. This year, we have offered more hot food on more match days even introducing half price curry! Not only do we have food, but we also boast a very impressive draught beer selection…
If you’d like to join your fellow Reading FC supporters, you can find us between Gates 7 & 8 at the stadium. Check our social media pages for when we open as this can vary depending on when kick off is.
Private Functions
With complete lifting of COVID restrictions, 2022 has really been our year for private functions to return to The Jazz Café! We’ve seen baby showers, engagement parties, birthdays, anniversary celebrations and even weddings throughout the year and it’s been so lovely to see the venue all dressed up for the occasion.
When you hire the venue, we also offer different catering options for your event as well as use of our well-stocked bar and bartenders. All you need to do is email us with your requirements and we’ll do the hard work! We also offer discounts for charities and Reading FC season ticket holders. Please contact us for more information.
Christmas
Christmas 2022 has seen our largest selection of live music party nights for a while. We welcomed our regular bands back, such as The Chain Gang, Madison Heights Soul & Motown Band and The SoulTones, but as we mentioned above, we also introduced newcomers to The Jazz Café Christmas scene.
These Christmas party nights have been a wonderful way to end the year. They’ve been full of laughter, dancing and plenty of joy. Whether you joined us just for the party or whether you went all the way and dined with us too, it’s been a pleasure and we hope you’ll back next Christmas!
