With over 11 years in the events industry, it’s fair to say that the team here at The Jazz Café have hosted a wide range of events. Our venue is very versatile and lends itself perfectly for a number of different events for both private and corporate guests alike. With the capacity to accommodate any number of guests from 40 to 240, décor that offers flexibility, a well-stocked bar and dedicated stage / entertainment area, there’s no limit of fantastic events that The Jazz Café can host.
1. Birthday Parties
One of our most popular types of events that guests hire The Jazz Café for are birthday parties – milestone birthdays in particular. Celebrating a milestone birthday is the perfect excuse to gather your loved ones, family and friends to honour the occasion and throw a party! Plenty of parties, previously hosted at our venue, have had a theme that the whole party has centred around including the décor, cake and even the entertainment. We work with a number of local suppliers who we would be more than happy to put you in touch with if you need décor, entertainment, etc. One of the benefits of choosing The Jazz Café as your party venue is our dedicated stage and dancefloor area giving you and your guests a spacious area to throw all your favourite dance moves!
2. Corporate Events
Our central town centre location makes us an ideal choice for corporate events. We’re less than 5 minutes from J11 of the M4 and a 5 minute taxi ride from Reading train station, plus we have onsite, complimentary parking. Whether it’s your annual company awards dinner, a networking evening for clients or a fundraising event for your charity of the year, The Jazz Café offers corporate events a modern, spacious venue, delicious, flexible menu options and a well-stocked, onsite bar. We also provide a dedicated event coordinator who will be on hand to answer your questions and guide you through the event planning process.
3. Wedding Receptions
Whilst The Jazz Café may not be licensed for civil wedding ceremonies, we can certainly help you celebrate after you’ve said your vows! Wedding receptions with us are completely bespoke and we take great pride in tailoring wedding packages for our wedding couples so that they can truly have the wedding reception of their dreams. Think cocktail arrival drinks. Think exquisite menus. Think entertainment options.
4. Christmas Parties
Christmas parties at The Jazz Café are renowned in Reading and our guests typically return year on year – we just know exactly what people want from an amazing Christmas party! Firstly, we offer both private and joiner party nights, so whether you need exclusive use of our venue or you’re a group of 10 friends, there’s a festive event for you at The Jazz Café. Our joiner party nights begin with a tasty 3-course meal, (turkey optional), followed by live music from one of our incredible live bands. Bands tend to play from the soul, Motown, jazz and disco genres and they are all highly professional, energetic and create a real party vibe. Once the live band have finished their sets, our resident DJ will keep the party going into the early hours. Private party nights can be tailored to your company’s own agenda and requirements.
5. Celebration of Life
Here at The Jazz Café, we understand that planning a celebration of life (or wake) needs to be as stress-free as possible. That’s why we’ve got fantastic packages at fantastic prices leaving you to take care of yourself and your loved ones at this difficult time. Our packages include exclusive hire of The Jazz Café alongside a delicious finger buffet, a well-stocked bar with bartenders, background music and use of our projector and screen to show any photos that you may wish to display.
